Any advice on airfare?

I have a few places that I would like to fly to this summer when I get a moment.  I am trying to go see my family, and meet my boyfriend's mother (yikes!) here in a few weeks.  All of those travel sites suck.  I have been trying to do Price Line for the time frame that I want to go but I can't find anything that suites the time constraint between classes ending and starting.  Would any of you guys know the best route for me to take to reach my destination?

  1. My mother just found out that if you look for flights around midnight tuesday and thursday flights get a lot cheaper.

  2. ^Yup. Leave in the evening or at night, Tue/Wed/Thu. Also check (directly call or visit their site) the cheapo airlines, like Spirit instead of American.

  3. I always use southwest airlines because they don't charge you for luggage also if you have an iphone there is an app that southwest provides and its the DING app and you put in the locations you would like to go and everytime a good deal comes along it will notify you and the tickets are really cheap only problem is you have to purchase them that day but you should definitely look into it!

  6. Yep, Southwest is definitely the best prices! Also, the earlier you book a flight, the cheaper it'll be. Typically booking your flight two weeks ahead of time is when prices start dropping. And red-eye flights (during the middle of the night) are cheaper too b/c no one wants to fly then!
