Well, here I am posting before midnight on Sunday. I had a very long weekend attending a women's retreat in East Texas. Back to the stress of school!

420

4/20 is approaching fast. I have looked forward to this day, many years, for many reasons. One year in particular 4/20 fell on Easter Sunday. At 10:33 am the Easter Bunny delivered the best gift I have ever received, a 7 lbs. 5 oz., 18 and 1/2 inch "quacking" little girl made her way into the world. She immediately captured my heart!
This Tuesday, on 4/20, I will be taking cupcakes to her classmates at school. I can't believe she is turning 7, how time rushes past. I have cherished every moment of her development and I thank God for giving me such a blessing. Being a parent is amazing. For those of you who do not have children you will be shocked by the revelation that you could love one little person more than you have ever bargained to love anyone in your entire life.
The assigned readings this week were full of themes relating to life, love, memories, regrets, and death. I love how you can really put things in perspective after reading such engaging material.

Texas Stadium

Texas Stadium was blown up early Sunday morning, April 11, 2010. A piece of history demolished. Memories... of my brother's, my friends, Jerry Jones, being an arm charm, the announcement of my daughter's existence....

Week 4

I have finished the assignments for week four of my class. This week covered the Victorian Era in British Literature. I especially enjoyed "Say Over Again" by Elisabeth Browning.
